Film is not nostalgia here; it is a pedagogy. A roll of thirty-six forces the habits every photographer needs — metering you trust, framing you commit to, patience between exposure and proof. Our film workshops cover camera handling, metering by eye, development, and darkroom or hybrid scanning workflows.
Cameras and film stock are provided if you need them, including medium format to try.

Questions, answered
I've never shot film. Is that a problem?
It's the ideal condition. You'll load, meter, and rewind on day one and develop your first roll by day two.
Is the darkroom included?
Where the venue has one, yes — printing is the best part. Elsewhere we teach a careful scan-and-edit hybrid workflow.
How many rolls will I shoot?
Fewer than you expect and it will feel like more. Budget two to three rolls a day; the fee includes your first five.
