The LUMENS Award
One photograph a year, chosen with the same silence we ask of our readers.
€10,000 · a printed portfolio · the cover of the winter issue
Entries close 30 November
The LUMENS Award is given once a year to a single photographic story that best embodies what this magazine is for: images given room, sequenced with intent, read in silence.
There is no theme. There is no fee. The only rule is the one that governs everything here — the work must be yours, and it must be quiet enough to hold a reader still.
Submissions pass first through the same three-juror gate as every community entry. The shortlisted stories are then read by a rotating guest editor, and one is chosen.
Winners are paid, printed, and given the winter cover. Enter through the community submission desk.
