The discipline
Underwater photography adds a life-support system to the camera bag, so these workshops are diving courses first and photography courses always. Buoyancy discipline, marine etiquette, and light behaviour in the first ten metres come before strobes and housings, because a photographer who can hover can photograph anything.
Surface intervals are edit sessions; logbooks and contact sheets are kept side by side.

What certification do I need?
Open Water minimum with recent dives for the reef workshops; the pool-and-shallows intensives take confident swimmers without certification.
Do I need a housing?
No — the workshop fleet includes housed systems and lit trays to learn on. Bring your own only if it's already serviced.
How is marine life protected?
No touching, no chasing, no repositioning, distance rules per species, and briefings before every entry. A workshop photograph is never worth a stressed animal.
