The discipline
Travel photography, done honestly, is portraiture of places: patient, curious, and suspicious of the postcard. These workshops move slowly through one region rather than quickly through five, because a place shows its face to people who stay through a market day, a rainstorm, a Sunday.
We teach colour restraint, respectful approach, and the discipline of a daily edit — so the trip produces a body of work, not a camera roll.

Questions, answered
How much gear should I travel with?
One bag you can run for a bus with. Every workshop publishes a packing list; all of them fit in eight kilograms.
Do you help with photographing people abroad?
It is half the syllabus: how to ask, in gesture or phrase, and how to accept no gracefully. The photographs that follow a yes are better anyway.
Are these workshops physically demanding?
They are walking holidays with homework. Expect eight to twelve slow kilometres a day, mostly flat, always stoppable.
